Apple has been gradually turning its design language over the years and between its products. Interestingly, it started with the iPad Pro, which left curved edges in favor of the plains. It was later expanded to the iPhone 12 and looks set to soon be extended to the Apple Watch as well.

In a series of new renderings shared by 91 vehicles, they have released what appear to be renderings of the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7, which shows the flat edges of the watch. This seems to match the renders we saw of Jon Prosser and RendersByIan a few months ago, so while not necessarily confirmed, they corroborate each other’s claims.

The adoption of flat edges gives the watch a more square look. Although the face of the Apple Watch has always been square, the use of curved edges and curved screen gave it a more “organic” look. This makes it seem smaller, but whether this is good or bad will be reduced to your personal preference.

Apple is said to be planning an event in September where the iPhone 13 will be announced. It’s also the same event that will likely also see the launch of the 7 Series, so check back with us in the coming weeks for more information.
